IMAIL MAKES PATIENT COMMUNICATION EASY

Doctors and dentists can now send physical, postcard-style reminders and alerts from their computer to better communicate with patients about appointments and scheduled check-ups. This new mail solution, launched by imail, will enable surgeries to keep in contact with patients in an affordable, flexible and convenient manner to reduce missed appointments, lower administrative overheads and better manage available capacity.

Using imail, surgeries can send a customised reminder to addresses across the UK about a scheduled date or need for action. As a result, the service will help reduce the number of no shows, as well as generating increased patient engagement by prompting scheduled examinations, x-rays, blood tests or regular check-ups. This will enable surgeries to improve the overall patient experience by improving appointment scheduling and making the most of available resources.

The high quality A5 post cards can incorporate an extensive range of design templates available via imail or feature a surgery’s own artwork that can be uploaded via an easy-to-use use web browser. The back of the flyer offers space for a tailored message and a stamp design that can include the users logo.

Full mail merge facilities mean that the postcard service can simplify and reduce administration by streamlining patient communication with planned and phased mailing schedules. In addition, users can also remove the hassle of operating a franking machine, whilst extending the cut-off time for sending mail for next-day nationwide delivery to 6pm.

Furthermore, the simple pricing structure starting from just 39 pence per postcard, with no minimum volumes, offers a cost-effective option for individual or low quantity mailings. In fact, it offers savings of more than 20 per cent on traditional methods, when taking into consideration printing, material and postage cost.

UK Mail, part of Business Post Group, launched imail last year as the only alternative to the first class postal service, which enables users to send letters with just a click of the mouse. The mail documents are sent electronically to the UK Mail sort centre closest to the destination where they are printed, enveloped and sorted for onward delivery.
